Vintage fixture re-wiring / re-conditioning

If you love the cloth covered wire, we can even update the fixture with new wire to keep that vintage charm.

Many of these fixtures are also not grounded to your buildings electrical system, which means that if a wire does come loose or the insulation cracks off when changing a light bulb, the fixture can cause a shock hazard, or even start a fire. When we re-condition a light fixture, YOUR SAFETY is our top priority.
We have several ways to add a grounding wire when updating the fixture so that the character is maintained and the fixture is updated to meet or exceed current code requirements.
We don't cut any corners and make sure it's done right. We want to make sure everyone sleeps well at night, lights on or off.
Porch Light replacement
The original porch lights had at some point been removed and replaced with round ceiling fixtures which were both the incorrect mounting size, and also were not rated for outdoor use. When the fixtures were removed, we found them only secured with electrical tape, and a very slight indent of where the original fixtures had been secured. We worked with a local historical light fixture manufacturer to fabricate a custom base for one of their standard period style lights. The new lights came in and got installed with new updated wiring and matched the original pattern exactly. The finish desired was an unsealed copper which will eventually patina to a nice rustic green...in a couple of years.
